Degustabox Review – a food and snack subscription box

I love subscription boxes – I find it so exciting to see what is going to be in each box and the Degustabox is no exception. I usually go for beauty or skincare boxes so when Degustabox got in touch with me and sent me their snack and drink box, I was very intrigued. Although there are a couple of products that I didn’t like the taste of, I loved most food/drinks in the box and I’ll definitely be repurchasing! With that in mind, I thought I’d do a little review on the box and some of my fav products. Enjoy!

My Top 5 Products –

Kit Kat Chunky Salted Caramel Fudge – I used to LOVE the Kit Kat caramel chunky so when I saw this in my Degustabox, I was so happy! It has the perfect salt to caramel ratio and it’s a perfect snack in the evening with a cup of tea. I will DEFINETELY be repurchasing!DSC_2508 - Copy

Spoon Cherry Bomb Spiced Granola – I love granola: it’s perfect to sprinkle on top of yoghurts or smoothies, or to just have by itself. This granola is spiced with cinnamon and cloves and it’s so warming to eat, especially on those cold, dark mornings. The granola also has no added sugar and it’s high in fibre and wholegrains.

Lift Instant Lemon Flavour Tea – During winter, I always get lots of colds and I like having hot lemon to soothe my throat. This is essentially a sweeter version of hot lemon and all you have to do is add a scoop of powder into the tea. You can also make this into a cold drink by adding ice and a sprig of mint which I thought sounded amazing for the summer!

Clipper Fairtrade Everyday Tea – I recently watched a documentary on the importance of Fairtrade and some of the terrible states that tea farmers have to live in and it inspired me to think more about the food that I was buying. When I saw these Fairtrade and unbleached tea bags, I was very pleased to see that they were Fairtrade. I drink LOTS of tea and we’ve already managed to work our way through half the packet! You also get a free tea towel which is really cute.

Supermalt Ginger Beer – I love the packaging for this product – it’s in a glass bottle with a really cool print. The ginger beer also tastes really good: it’s got a good kick to it but without being overly spicy.

Overall –

I think that the Degustabox is a great way to find some new food items that you’ve not tried before and quite a lot of them haven’t even reached the shops yet! You get a good variety of store-cupboard staples and I think that the price is very reasonable compared to the number of products you receive.  I’ve definitely discovered some new brands and food items that I’ll be repurchasing! The only downside is that you don’t have the option to customise the box, so you may have a few items that you don’t like in it.

This product was sent to me by Degustabox in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.
